About Unquiet Union

Nathan's Story

Born and raised in Idaho, entering Idaho politics in 2023 running for Moscow City Council.

Now serving on Moscow's Fair and Affordable Housing Committee.

Member of the Idaho Army National Guard for 8 years.

Earned a B.S. in Political Science with a Minor in Economics from the University of Idaho.

I hate telling my own story because I find that many people that talk about politics are just self-advertising, but it is a necessity when engaging in public dialogue. I have always been into politics since I was young but ignored that passion until 2020 when politics was shoved in all of our faces. My original inspiration was listening to the musical Hamilton. Listening to some of those songs and hearing the stories of founding fathers be dramatized inspired me to not simply earn my degree, but to also do something with it. I revived a College Republicans club at the University of Idaho and ran it for 3 years while I earned my degree. All the meanwhile I served in the Idaho Army National Guard and still do to this day. Many times, my service got in the way of my education, but I persevered through the tumultuous early 2020's educational sphere.

In 2024, I deployed to Kosovo with the National Guard to participate in Operation Joint Guardian where I earned the Army Commendation Metal, Volunteer Award, and NATO-Balkan non-Article 5 Medal for the efforts I gave to the mission.
